BRIDGE of ALLAN
Bridge of Allan is a small town outside Stirling, close to Stirling University and the Wallace monument.
Bridge of Allan is a small town just to the north of Stirling on a river called Allan Water. Stirling University lies between Bridge of Allan and Stirling. It is easiest reached by train from Glasgow Queen St or from Edinburgh.

The Crooked Arms has been refurbished and re-named as The Crook Bar (and Tapas) is popular and noisy. small serving area close to door which then opens out into large lounge with second serving area from same bar. Lounge has small stage. Sometimes awkward to get past first swerving area to get to seating.

There is a large variety of pubs throughout the different towns shown below. Some you may wish never to visit again but even discovering these can be interesting. There are pubs that you would not take your wife into. While some you could not take your girlfriend into. A few you would not take either into. However, most of the pubs are very pleasant.

Allanwater Brewhouse
Allanwater Brewhouse bar is excellent. This is Bridge of Allan's hidden gem, found behind The Adamo. Unfortunately, only open 2-5pm it serves several ales from the brewery. The interesting bar made from barrels has books and games available. there are a variety of tables including outside courtyard, and a large collection of beer bottles. Dog friendly and evening pizza.

The Royal Hotel
The Royal Hotel has a rather bare bar set out with tables and containing right wing loud talkers. Remembered fondly from previous visits but something not right this time. Outside seating in the sun.
