Three to try in .......

In some places only a few pubs have been visited and it seems a shame to ignore perfectly fine hostelries because of this. Therefore, as the title says, here are some to see during a quick visit.

LOUGHBOROUGH

The Windmill claims to be the oldest pub in Loughborough. Old features with small fire. Serves into three small areas. Outside seating. A local pub running day trip to Skegness (pub opens at 7am for this!)

real ale: Pedigree and Landlord
bitter: John Smiths
mild: Theakstons
lager: Stella, Fosters, Carling

Strongbow, Guiness

Hobgoblin in Loughborough is very basic. Wooden tables, floor, bar, stools - and only one real ale on. Perhaps just too basic - needs to offer more than one real ale to make premises acceptable. St Patricks day flag has been up for 4 months.

Strongbow,

The Three Nuns is an Everard's pub. Some seating to right but main length of pub to left and up.

real ale: Original, Beacon and Tiger (all Everards)
other beers: Everard's mild, Guiness, Fosters, 1664

The Swan in the Rushes is a three roomed pub. bar to the right, lounge to the left and dining style seating through from this

The Unicorn a city centre pub catering for meals at lunch and drinkers anytime. has the feel of a lager pub despite selling real ale!
